Motocross Jeans...what's with the knee patches?

First of all, sorry about the picture being a little fuzzy. I'm not what you would call a "photo expert" or "technically savvy" when it comes to these things. In fact, you might even say that I'm "barely functional" or "partially retarded" when it comes to computers. But hey, at least there's a picture there, right? And look, it's a picture that is directly related to what I'm going to write about! Miracles, no matter how small, are always worth noting.

Anyhow, it looks like everyone's favorite sport is starting to spread to places that don't involve a dirt track and a loud engine. Fashion designers are starting to rip off the design features of some motorcycle gear, and in the case of these jeans, they're doing it pretty well. I'm not so sure about the bleach stains, and I'm pretty sure I could do without the knee pads (if that's not a joke in the making, I'm not sure what is), but overall the style is unique, flattering and pretty spiffy looking. Form is meeting function in a way that I'm digging.

That said, style like this doesn't come cheap. These jeans go for $250 at ChickDowntown (no, they don't come with a free motorcycle helmet --- you're paying more than my monthly rent in college for one pair of pants). Still, these things must be flying off of their cyber-shelves, because two sizes are already sold out.
