Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes roared to the fore when the flag dropped and proceeded to dust the field by more than seven seconds for his sixth victory of the season in the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

California Superbike School’s product Joe Roberts is only 16 years old and stands a mere five feet, seven inches tall. However, he has become a very large presence in his first year of competing in the AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport division with three wins in three career starts this season.

The 2012 Laguna Seca SuperBike race seemed to be won by Josh Hayes long before the checkered flag fell. On his Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha, Hayes held the pole position, dominated throughout the race by leading every one of the 23 laps, and finished a full nine seconds ahead of second place.
